Vale Window Company Ltd (VWC) was established in 1996 by Brian and Richard Hackett as a manufacturing unit for PVC-U windows and doors.
The company has expanded and developed over time. The company now employees over 70 staff adding over £50million to the local East Midlands economy in the last decade. VWC has been involved in several research projects including DECC funded project on Vacuum Tube Windows and iNet-funded projects on Window Technologies.
The company is currently involved in solar PV glazing systems and modular housing construction. The company has state-of-the -art facilities for construction of a wide range of window systems including double and triple glazing and vacuum windows. Brian Hackett, Chairman of VWC has over 30 years of experience in research and development projects and is Honorary Special Fellow at the University of Nottingham.
